Karen is a three time Canadian Comedy Award winning/Dora nominated actor and an alumnae of the Second City Toronto where she co-created and performed three successful reviews. Karen has toured the world with “The Nearly World Famous DuffleBag Theatre” and performed with theatre companies across Ontario in various productions.
She can be heard occasionally on “CBC’s GO! Show”. Selected film and television credits include “Unlucky”, “The Jon Dore Show”, “CTV’s Instant Star”, “YTV’s System Crash”, “Global’s The Final 24”, “The Four Horseman” and theBRAVO!Fact series of shorts “Facebook of Revelations”. She most recently appeared in the short documentary “Karen Parker Is Almost Famous” which made its world premiere at the 2010 Worldwide Short Film Festival and the successful Toronto Fringe run of Pick of the Fringe! Which she co wrote and performed with Punch in the Box Productions.
Currently she is writing and performing sketch with Punch In The Box. She is also an acting and improv instructor at the Second City training centre and a writer for the music and entertainment blog the Panic Manual. She sells you lots of things on TV from chips to cheese but is most infamous for her role as the angry driver in the Grey Power commercial.
